That is the headline. Mr. Putin’s visit to North Korea produced some sort of agreement for Kim to commit to delivering troops to the battlefield.
Will this make a difference? It is too soon to tell, as we do not yet know what will happen next.
My best guess is that the North Koreans will not sacrifice a significant number of troops for Putin. And we might keep in mind that the troops who do arrive have never seen combat, and are not likely to be well equipped or trained. Sadly, I agree with Jake (above) who thinks the Russians will be tempted to use these troops as more cannon fodder.
Meanwhile, there is some good news from the front line fighting. A Ukrainian counterattack has pushed the Russians back on the central eastern front.
lI also saw one report that at least some of the F16’s promised to Ukraine have arrived.
