Code for All?

“Making government work” sounds like a  political slogan. rather than a programme. But what if it were not political? What if it were just the local norm – so that where we live, things get done and done in an efficient and friendly way?  In other words, what if local government was able to respond efficiently to what its residents need and want without a lot of red tape?

That is possible, according to a group that calls themselves “Code for America” Or at least they are committed to learning how to do it, and sharing what they learn. Their hope – a lot of the red tape that holds local government back can be eliminated using technology.

And Code for America is building a global network called “code for all“. Sadly there is no “Code for Estonia”.  I wonder if I can change that.
