“Tomorrow, they will say, ‘Donald Trump rants and raves at the press,'” he said. “I’m not ranting and raving. I’m just telling you. You know, you’re dishonest people. But — but I’m not ranting and raving. I love this. I’m having a good time doing it. But tomorrow, the headlines are going to be, ‘Donald Trump rants and raves.’ I’m not ranting and raving.”
Hmmm … that was yesterday, and today, surprise! The press is reporting that the Donald was indeed ranting and raving. And of course, he was. Or perhaps a better word for it is “venting”. Trump couldn’t help himself from “letting it all hang out”.
And what hung out was a lot of nonsense. His misstatements are not just slips of the tongue. don’t believe me? How about this
After one of the numerous attempts by reporters to get Trump to answer questions over his ties with Russia, the president – unprompted – brought up the possibility he could order an attack on a Russian spy ship in international waters off the US coast. But to do so, he said, would not be good for relations with Moscow.
“The greatest thing I could do is shoot that ship that’s 30 miles off shore right out of the water. Everyone in this country’s going to say ‘oh, it’s so great’. That’s not great. That’s not great. I would love to be able to get along with Russia.”
huh? Everyone would say that is great? You get the idea. The question is how will we deal with the fact that the president has lost it. … if he ever had it in the first place.
